Two qualities have defined my journey

…and continue to guide me: effectiveness and deep connection.

And like most lives, my own has been shaped by contrasts and contradictions:

Roots & Values

Effectiveness was a central theme in my upbringing. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, our dinner table conversations often revolved around economics and politics, grounded in shared values like performance, dedication, openness, and trust in each person’s potential.

The desire to connect with the world on a deeper level, however, came from my grandfather. A former prisoner of war and refugee, he found peace in yoga, meditation, and Eastern philosophy. From him, I learned to seek profound meaning and to engage with life’s complexities.

Education & Career

In school, I was always either far ahead or falling behind - rarely where I was “supposed” to be. I barely graduated, finishing at the bottom of my class.

Yet later, I completed my business studies as the top graduate across all faculties, even earning an academic award.

I’m a Change Advisor at heart.
As a management consultant, I guide organisations through complex transformations. As a coach, I support individuals on deeply personal growth journeys.

Yet, I often despair at bringing these two worlds together.

Family & Live

I feel the world deeply—sometimes overwhelmingly so. But this sensitivity is also my greatest strength, allowing me to connect with people and life in a way that feels truly meaningful.

Balancing this is a challenge I‘ve come to enjoy more and more.

At home, I’m a playful “silly dad” (as my kids like to call me). Nothing brings me greater joy than spending time with them.

In my downtime, I love diving into scientific literature - sometimes so deeply that a single new idea keeps me awake at night.

We develop and evolve through our interactions with the world.

Someone once described me as ‘constantly searching and never quite arriving.’
There’s some truth to that. I get bored easily, but my curiosity and love of learning keep me moving forward. I want to experience and explore so much - often all at once. Sometimes, it feels like I’m living two lives at the same time.
And that’s okay, because I only have one.
